Inspired by Ralph Ellison’s seminal 1952 novel ‘Invisible Man’, this bold artwork provides a powerful commentary on Black female representation in mainstream society and how throughout history our identities have been reduced to our physical attributes and characteristics. INVISIBLE WOMAN provokes us all to stop and think about misconception and misrepresentation, while equally providing a platform and space to celebrate the multifaceted nature, vibrancy, power and resilience of Black women who for too long have been rendered invisible.

Artwork is printed on 230gsm Bright Matte paper which is a bleached, bright white, coated cellulose fibre paper that gives images superb contrast and great vividness, both in colour and B&W. It has a smooth but soft surface feel with minimal grain and texture that gives prints that bit of extra 'pop'.
